what is Colina roja
Colina Roja is a unique rustic style outside cafè bar, the 30,000 sqm grounds are set in a stunning rural location with the bar and 500sqm terrace located high above the surrounding farmlands giving panaoramic views of the countryside and the diverse mountain ranges that completely surround the area. Colina Roja provides a place to go for a relaxing drink and tapas with pleasant surroundings, away from busy commercial centres and towns, especially suitable for families, with activities to keep children occupied in a safe environment, children are kept amused by the on site facilities in perfect safety allowing the parents to relax and soothe the stresses of the day away.
As well as a family Cafè Bar, we offer the venue for Hosting events, anything from a full blown private do to a small birthday party. The beautiful surroundings makes for a great Wedding venue. The 30,000sqm grounds are available for fairs and shows of all kinds.
In the future we are adding a campsite with pitches for caravans, campers and tents. For those without tents or caravans who would love to spend the nights under the stars, soaking up the ambience of the murcian evenings, we will be installing some glamping teepees for people to rent out. The campsite will offer all the normal camping amenities like shower blocks, BBQ areas fresh water, wifi, electric hook ups and waste water disposal, it will be pet friendly and you will only pay one inclusive price, no extras for pets, hook ups, wifi, showers etc.
The location is ideally situated for the blue flag beaches of puerto de mazarron, being just 10 mins drive away. Connections to the Spanish Motorway network are just a few minutes drive, for wider exploration of the historic and beautiful Murcia region, known as the garden of Spain, the magical cities of Murcia and Cartagena are both within an hours car journey, even the splendour of the Sierra Espuña national park mountain range is within easy reach.
In case you didn’t know, Colina Roja translates to Red Hill.

Colina Roca is located in the Murcia region of Spain, between Mazarron town and urbanizacion Camposol, situated 1km off the RM3. (Google maps Plus code = JJ8X+6V mazarron) . Drive down the RM3 towards Mazarron, as you pass the Mazzaron Country Club and petrol stations on the left, look right, out towards the campo, you will see the distinctive red hill with a building on top surrounded by White poles, this is the main bar and terrace area. check our contact page for a map. We are 5 mins from Mazarron Country club and Camposol
Directions from Camposol & Mazarron Country club
Head down the motorway (RM3) towards Mazarron, take first Mazarron exit ( J23 – Mazarron north) , go down ramp, at roundabout take 1st exit onto the service road, immediately turn right in front of the gate onto the northbound service road, follow the service road for 750m, take first left, It’s the only left turn so you can’t go wrong, follow the road through the farm buildings. ( You can see Colina Roja in front of you on the hill), after passing a small finca on the right, take next right. Your there. . When you get to Colina Roja park up in the car park and walk up the ramp.
